Wife Me Bad Boy - Chance Carter

Yeah I know, I'm obsessed with these novels. I have no shame.

Wife Me Bad Boy was a beautiful love story. This is the second book in the series. I'm working on catching up with Mr. Carter and I'm almost there.

This love story was all about dreams coming true. And I don't think I will type the sentence that came into my head because it spoil the ending. I think there were times that I was exasperated with Grant and was hoping one of the brothers would knock some sense into him. But I wouldn't change a thing.

It may not have been as page turning as Bad Boy Daddy or Princess and the Beast BUT it was still a really good book that I enjoyed. Yes, I'm recommending this book to everyone.

P.S. to the guys: take notes from Chance Carter if you want to woo us.

Bad Boy Daddy - Chance Carter

Okay so maybe I need to give my poor kindle a break from all the melting it's been doing these last few days............nah! I'm gonna keep on goin'!

Yes this is my new favorite author, yes I'm losing sleep from the late night reading, but I haven't gotten into trouble for reading this series while at work.....not yet anyway. So this book one, I think I've finally managed to start a series from the very first book. If Princess and the Beast is part of the series.....well then I'll get it right one day.

This book is hot, steamy, sexy and heartfelt. I cried a lot with this book. A love like that is one in a million. This was amazing, I'm so glad I found this series.

More coming from this series! But in the mean time, go sign up on Carter's mailing list and go get the books!

Princess and the Beast - Chance Carter

I'm actually going to do two reviews with one post on this.

So this started as an innocent sign up of a personalized bad boy story. Little did I know at the time how hooked I would be. So I read the story that was emailed every morning and looked forward to them. I loved it. Not crazy about those recap days but super excited when the next chapter came in. It still killed me because it was one chapter a day.
Anyway you can sign up for your story to be emailed on his website chancecarter.Com

Well I wasn't quite ready to leave his writings so I bought and downloaded all of his books. But the first one was Princess and the Beast.

I devoured it and the Kindle is so melted. There’s no other word for it. I probably would have finished it faster but between work and decorating for Halloween, it took me a couple days more than it should have. But it was a fantastic book. I enjoyed it so much that I bought the others and may reread this book and then get to the brand new one that just came out.

*sigh* bad boy romances, gotta love 'em.

Storm Dancer - Rayne Hall

This book right here is the reason I have not posted in a long time (mostly work but this book too). It's not that it's long and hard to read. It's the fact that my brain went "hey look, another book! Read this first". So I promised myself I wouldn't post one until I had this book complete. Here’s why.

Ms. Hall is an indie author, and she helps support other indie authors. This is why I have this blog. I like to help get the word out there about well written, mind capturin books that I can't find in book stores. I want them to feel appreciated.

Now, on to the review!

I loved it! I felt like I was apart of the story. When the village was starving I felt their pain, I felt their terror when a siege was coming. Yeah, you totally get into the book. This was very well written and would love to have more.

Ms. Hall, this was fantastic. I can't wait to read more from this series!

Please go get your copy of Storm Dancer now!

Protect and Serve - Nikki Wild

Wow! This was like Castle and Beckett omg!

I said like. Rich guy, female detective, crime ring to take down. That was fast pace. And oh did I enjoy every page of it.

Yes another go get your copy now.

Illicit Behavior - Nikki Wild

Another freebie with a freebie.

Now this one is my favorite. Rock star with good girl. A perfect love story with very steamy scenes that your wI'll nred a cold showever later. I think what I liked most is.....SPOILER ALERT...... rock star was a knight in shinning armor. This I really liked! It's a fast read too.

Go get your copy of it like right now

Step Brother Fixation - Nikki Wild & Kat Jackson

My favorite kind of book is a free book, with a free book. When I downloaded Arrogant Brit, it came with three free bonus novels. Now I was not expecting the subject of the main book to be what it was. This book at least gave me a heads up with the title. So happy with the ending though.

Yeah, I yelled at the lead male character but I couldn't help it. However, the lead female, I love. She was a strong woman, hard working and vulnerable.

The whole time I was wondering if the story would end the same way as Arrogant Brit. Not going to spoil that. If you want to know if it's the same or not, go get this book and read it. But you might need a cold shower aftward.

Arrogant Brit - Nikki Wild

Damn! My kindle melted more with this book. This didn't have the ending I was hoping for. It was better. And I love the twist at the end (so not telling you anything).

So when I got this book, it was not what I was expecting to read. I mean I don't normally go for that kind of story but I enjoyed this one very much. I love the romance in it.

There’s not much else I can say about it without giving something away so I think, I'm going to leave it there and say: go read this book too!

Bedding the Bad Boy - Lili Valente

This series here! Damn! *fans self* my Kindle melted. (Yes I have both Nook and Kindle).

Ms. Valente was at least kind enough to warn readers ahead of time that the ending of books one and two had cliffhangers.......those are really big cliffhanges Ms. Valente!

Word to the wise, buy all three at once.

I loved this series  (cliffhangers and all). I laughed, cried and held my breath at times. It was another series that I lost sleep over because it was that good.

I think this was my first series that made me read bad boy books the rest of the year (pretty much). So if you want a beautiful romance with danger and some comedy, this it.

Rescued by a Kiss - Colleen Mooney

I loved this book. It was funny, cute, and sassy. The best part was, she from my area, New Orleans. So yeah I laughed at everything because that's how we are.

Small spoiler: in the book, Ms. Mooney describes a couple of her characters going to a drive-thru daiquiri. This is NOT made up. We actually do have drive-thru daiquiri shops and they are year around not just for Mardi Gras. So come on down!

Okay, back to Ms. Mooney and the book. This is the first in the Geaux Cup series and I can't wait to read more. I actually had the pleasure of sitting at a panel with Ms. Mooney and three other authors at the Jane Austen festival this year (2016).  I was very eager to win their books, especially this one, the next day at the silent auction. Four authors, four books, all signed. I'm proud to say I won.

So as soon as I was finished with a few other books my mom was begging me to read so we could talk about them, I went right into this book, which wasn't on my list to read but I had to read it.

I can relate to some things with the main female character. She's smart, brave, thinks quickly, (scared of roaches and so am I), rescues dogs (new best friend!), and a native to New Orleans.

If you haven't read this book yet, I don't know what you're waiting for.

Robert Langdon novels (1-4) Dan Brown

Robert Langdon novels (in order):
Angels and Demons
The Da Vinci Code
The Lost Symbol
Inferno

Yes I listed them on purpose because Hollywood has decided to go completely out of order! Yes it drives me nuts!

Okay, so Dan Brown is like amazing with conspiracy theories and thrillers. I couldn't put any of those books down. The first two I actually read in high school. The last two listed I read this year.

The adrenaline was going with the last two novels it was that intense. Now there is another book coming next year (can't believe I have to wait a whole year for the new one) and I can't even imagine what more Mr. Brown can do with this character! I mean, just when you think you've figured it out, he throws a monkey wrench into the story and blows your theory to bits.

I can't tell you how much sleep I lost reading these books. Omg! Plot twist came, I didn't need sleep at that point, I needed answers!

Just go read them. Highly recommended of course!

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

I couldn't believe some of the reviews I was reading about this script. I was thoroughly pleased and happy that the story was continued! I could see Ms. Rowling's work in the script. I love how Draco's son was the Slytherin version of Hermione. The whole play was fantastically written. I'm not just saying that because I'm a Potter fan. I really truly enjoyed reading this. I don't think I read the books so fast as I read this. It took me one whole day to read it and that is a personal best for me even though it was in script form. There are plays I have read that are not Shakespeare and I don't read them in one day like I did with Cursed Child. It's like....I don't know it was like going back home to Hogwarts. There's only one other book series that made me feel that way and that was the Sookie Stackhouse novels.

Give the script a chance and read it. You'll be going back home to Hogwarts, what more could you ask for?

Big Rock - Lauren Blakely

Ok so my brother had given me a reading challenge and so far I hadn't followed it very much so far this year. But one of the categories was read a book that was published this year (2016). I had this book pre-ordered and waited for it to come out.

I am so glad I read this book. It was sexy and funny at times and I always fall for the best friend romance novels. I don't want to give too much away other than that. You'll just have to read it for yourself! There was one part I was heartbroken over and wanted to put it down. But I kept going because I still had hope. Definitely read the book.

Yes, I recommend this book very much.

The Mortal Instruments - Cassandra Clare

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! OMG! I loved this series! The book series......watched the first minute of the TV series and I was disappointed.
But the books?! They were funny, charming, I laughed, I cried, I think there were times I yelled at the characters and nearly threw the Nook out the window, I felt like I was a Shadowhunter too and needed to help the characters battle against the demons.
Why I didn't pick this series up when it came out, I have no idea. I have no excuse for it. As soon as I can, I'm buying the rest of Ms. Clare's and reading them too!

I highly recommend this series to everyone!

Fifty Shade of Grey (1-3) E.L. James

*sigh* Fifty Shades of Grey. *sigh* yeah I know sighed twice. I loved this series and I love the book Grey (which will get it's own review). It wasn't about the sex scenes although those were very nice, it is the love story that I'm sighing about. The romance in it was amazing. Yes I agree it had its kinky parts but hey, it's a love story. After I read the first one in California, I knew I had to read the next one and then the one after that. I was hooked. Still hooked and can't wait for the rest of Grey's side of the love story (and the movies).
At first, I did not want to read them, mainly because, everyone else was reading them and I was the type that....didn't want to read that kind of book. Well I looked back at some of the other books I've read and said "Okay, I'll read it." Turns out I wasn't the only one who wanted to read it. My mother did too she just didn't know how to ask me to get it on the Nook. So we read the books and loved them.
So yes, go read this book!

The King's Daughter (Thornleigh #2) Barbara Kyle

This is probably the third time I started a book series that was the second book or the later in the series. How I do that I have none idea. Anyway!

The King's Daughter was fabulous. I loved the love story in it and all the elements included in the book. Taking place in the Tudor era after King Henry the VIII died, you really had the sense of the turmoil that went on (even though this was a historic fiction novel). It was a very good read and I can't wait to start from the beginning and read the whole series!

Patrick Melrose Series

The Patrick Melrose series was not really one of my favorite reads. I'm not really sure what I was expecting, but some parts of the books (the philosophical parts) really made you think. The ending for me did not satisfy. It could have ended better. But again that's just me. Some people like this type of story and I totally respect that. It just wasn't my cup of tea. If you are interested in a story about a boy who was abused, turned to drugs and alcohol, and then in recovery, then this is the story for you.
