Scavenger
WOW! A-Maz-ing!!!! Holy crap that was awesome.
Another audiobook but this has been the best series I've heard ever! You are totally with the characters and don't want to leave them where they are. This has been....WOW! just WOW! I'm in total shock at this story and get a great adrenaline rush from it. The audiobook was best when I used my ear phones and I could REALLY be with the characters. It was amazing and I look forward to reading Mr. Morrell's other books too.

Song of the Wanderer
Well this is the second time I've read this book. I still love it. And yes I will admit it that I still believe, and will always believe. Bruce Coville has an amazing imagination. I love this story so much. It should be on every bookshelf, in every household. What I like about this story is that it draws the reader into Luster and makes you wonder about this magical world, where unicorns and dragons, and a few humans can live in peace and harmony. Maybe it is what really happened to unicorns. Maybe the legends are based on a lie from another animal that is real (like a goat seen at a profile). But maybe, just maybe, Luster is a real world connected to ours. We can't open the gates without something special to get us there or a hidden gate. The trouble I have is that I can't find anything wrong. It is rare that I can find something that I don't like about a book. For me it's a good thing.
I can't wait until I read Dark Whispers and The Last Hunt.

Into the Land of Unicorns
I love this book. So much so that I'm reading it again and because it has taken me a while to read the third book that I sadly forgot most of the story. At least it gave me a hood excuse to read it again. Super fast read and you "take the leap" into Luster with Cara as she bravely journeys on into this world with some help from the friends she meets there. It's a wonderful tale of unicorns and one of my favorites. It's close to my heart because it is part of my childhood but one of the first books to actually get me to read was of unicorns. It is one of the treasures I will cherish for the rest of my life an share with my children.
The Blood Upon the Rose
Forgive the few words, I'm currently in a book hang-over and my brain isn't working properly. I'm still in the book's world.
But...
WOW! Fast pace, page-turing book! loved every minute of it. That was an excellent book. I had read some the reviews before reading this book and didn't let them get to me because I didn't want to believe that one character was so scheming! Actually there was a few that were but my favorite was one of them. This was a great book and I encourage others to read it.
Mr. Vicary, I have now become a fan of yours and I can't wait to read what you have next! Excellent work!
Now on to a couple of books that I have already read but need to re-read because it's been too long from that time until the author has written the last book and me actually getting a chance to read it.

Deadlocked
Well I've caught up with Charlene Harris and I didn't wait until Deadlocked was in paperback like I did all the others. I could have finished the book in two days like the last two but I didn't want to end the book just yet. I get so absorbed in Harris's books that I tune out the world. My vampire craving is not over yet. I've got True Blood to catch up on and plenty of vampire books to read. Ms. Harris, you never disappoint me. I can't wait to read the next one and I look forward to reading your other books.
~On to Blood Upon the Rose by Tim Vicary. It sounds really good.

Dead Reckoning
OMG! Fabulous as always! Another page turning-can't put it down book. To me there's not enough praise to give this talented, amazing, wonderful author. I'm catching up quickly. Onto Deadlocked...I'm not if I want to read this just yet seeing it's Harris's latest Sookie Stackhouse novel. I don't want to leave that world...just yet!

The Unicorns of Balinor
I read this series a long time ago and didn't really know it was a series until i saw the first and second book. I read the fifth book first and that started my passion for reading.
It was a book that was not forced upon me to read for a test, grade, paper or project. It certainly wasn't boring. It had my favorite fantasy creature in it: unicorns.
These books opened my eyes to reading, instead of skimming the pages and be totally lost (which is exactly what happened to me with The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe). I love these books. I treasure them and if they are lent out I watch my friends carefully with this series. It is my baby because of what they did for me.
I can honestly say that when I get the chance, I will be reading them again.

Dead in the Family
Wow! Fascinating! Incredible! Charlene Harris did it again! This is one of my favorite book series of vampires. The characters are awesome. Sookie is totally brave. Two and half years ago, this series was one of my comforts while waiting for the visiting hours to kick in at the hospital my father was in. I have some catching up to do but I don't think it will take very long.
Dead in the Family was so fast pace that I didn't want to put the book down! I read in two days (if I had all day I would have finished the book in one). I love Harris's books. I can't wait to read what's next in Dead Reckoning.

Creepers
So while reading Gone with the Wind I realized that I should have used an audio book (it's cheating I know but it does make the drive that much faster). I was lent the audio book Creepers by David Morrell...WOW! That was intense! I didn't want to get out of the car! So amazing that I told my mother to listen to it too. It's a fast pace book, and you won't want to get out of the car because you don't know what's going to happen next. I'm now a fan of this author too and can't wait to read all of the books he has to offer.

Gone With the Wind
Well this was an epic novel. Margaret Mitchell had guts to write a character that was spoiled and cold hearted. Took me forever to read but I stuck with it and even took a break half way through the book. This is one of those books that needs attention...a lot of attention! If you live in the South you've heard the story before (or heard of the story before or know other stories like it) and it may seem boring at times. I normally don't suggest movies but when comes to epic novels I find it best to watch the movie (sometimes first or in the middle of the book, whichever) and see the characters. For me it helps get through the book. However I would recommend this book while sitting on the back patio or front porch and drinking a glass of ice tea (aim for spring or fall if you're a Southerner like me).
