I read this series a long time ago and didn't really know it was a series until i saw the first and second book. I read the fifth book first and that started my passion for reading.
It was a book that was not forced upon me to read for a test, grade, paper or project. It certainly wasn't boring. It had my favorite fantasy creature in it: unicorns.
These books opened my eyes to reading, instead of skimming the pages and be totally lost (which is exactly what happened to me with The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe). I love these books. I treasure them and if they are lent out I watch my friends carefully with this series. It is my baby because of what they did for me.
I can honestly say that when I get the chance, I will be reading them again.
