Gone With the Wind

Well this was an epic novel. Margaret Mitchell had guts to write a character that was spoiled and cold hearted. Took me forever to read but I stuck with it and even took a break half way through the book. This is one of those books that needs attention...a lot of attention! If you live in the South you've heard the story before (or heard of the story before or know other stories like it) and it may seem boring at times. I normally don't suggest movies but when comes to epic novels I find it best to watch the movie (sometimes first or in the middle of the book, whichever) and see the characters. For me it helps get through the book. However I would recommend this book while sitting on the back patio or front porch and drinking a glass of ice tea (aim for spring or fall if you're a Southerner like me). 3 more posts coming!!!
